La trappola tipica di chi parla italiano

Attenzione

«Disse che sarebbe venuto» riferisce un'intenzione e si dice he said he would come; he said he would have come dice che non venne. Una parola in più capovolge il fatto.

Sbagliato:She said she would have called me back later that day.
Giusto:She said she would call me back later that day.

La spiegazione completa

Leggila tutta · circa 1 min

Simple Present diventa Simple Past, Simple Past diventa Past Perfect, will diventa would, can diventa could, may diventa might.

Lo stesso vale per would, could, should e might.

Con i tempi si sposta tutto quello che dipende dal punto di vista di chi parla: I diventa he o she, here diventa there, this diventa that, today that day, tomorrow the next day, yesterday the day before, ago before.

L'inglese usa la forma semplice, he said he would come; he said he would have come significa un'altra cosa, cioè che non venne.
