More about this list
You need many of these words straight away, even if you left school long ago: in a Turkish class you will hear Bu cümleyi tekrarlar mısınız? “Could you repeat this sentence?” or ask Bu kelimenin anlamı ne? “What does this word mean?”. School stages usually take the locative — Oğlum lisede “My son is at secondary school” — and a school subject takes the ablative when it is about an exam: matematikten sınav “a maths exam”, literally “an exam from maths”.
