Places in town in Korean

Shops, the station, the bank, the hospital and the other places a first week takes you to.

Practise this list

From these 40 words, as many per round as you like — up to all of them: first what is due today, then new ones. First you choose, then you fill the gap, then you write it yourself. Mistakes come back again shortly.

More about this list

Many of these words end in a syllable that says what kind of place it is: -관 for a public building (도서관, 대사관), -점 for a shop (백화점, 편의점), -장 for a ground or an area (수영장), -집 for a small eatery or shop (분식집, 술집). Learning these endings lets you guess signs you have never seen.
